Buying gaming goods with real-world money
Probably one of the oddest phenomena of recent years isn’t so much the construction of various virtual worlds for multi-user online games but that it’s possible to buy a variety of different artifacts within them using money from the real world.
Perhaps the most used of these is World of Warcraft and it’s rare for gamers not to have a wow account as it’s an extremely popular game. That popularity has naturally led to a massive number of sites selling merchandise ranging from gaming accounts to characters within the game and, of course, a great deal besides.
When you are buying this type of merchandise you should look for guarantees. For example, that the account can’t later be reclaimed by its previous owner or disabled by Blizzard themselves. Those guarantees are very important in that you can easily be paying over $1000 for what’s effectively a very small bit of software code and you obviously want it to remain working when you’re talking that kind of money.
WoW is a very complex game and that complexity is obviously reflected in the items that are for sale. In fact, the items are, if anything, more complex than the majority of real-world purchases that you would make so the availability of a live chat support service is very much a plus point in this as you may not be entirely sure of what you’re looking for or when you’ve selected a product if it matches up with what you need: live chat simplifies that massively.
