It’s nearing the end of the winter so it’s a good time to start thinking about how you’d like your garden to look this spring.
Garden Furniture will no doubt feature highly in your thoughts and it’s good to see that it’s available online these days as often the selection in local garden centres seems to be exactly the same as that which you saw 20 years ago. It doesn’t have to be like that and you can get some really stylish furniture in your garden if you look around.
Don’t think that just because it’s for the garden that it’ll be cheap. Cheap just means that you’ll end up throwing it out next year but if you choose well good quality garden furniture will last for many years and make a major difference to how your home feels too: think of it more as a home improvement than just a few cheapo chairs to put in the garden.

One really impressive and useful way to improve your house is to install a shower in the larger rooms.
Shower Cubicles make the task a very doable one if you’re reasonably competent in DIY and the difference in the room after installation is massive in comparison to the fairly low cost of these. Naturally, all the other bathroom equipment is available so that you end up with a unit with everything matching that looks like it’s always been there.
Not only is it impressive to have added your very own ensuite, but it also adds considerably to the attraction of your house when you come to sell it.

If you’re thinking of giving your home a new look for this year, one of the easiest and cheapest ways to do it is by changing the blinds.
Window Shades are generally considered something of an afterthought but in doing that you’re missing out on a very easy way to transform the feel of a room. For instance, you can begin to create an almost tropical feel just by using bamboo blinds and a few well chosen plants.
Similarly you should consider how the sunlight comes into your room and perhaps use that to decide between vertical or horizontal shades. Once that decision is taken you can then consider the choice between opaque and translucent blinds and, of course, there’s the range of colours to consider too.
