What do you do with annoying callers?

September 4th, 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

They’re a hassle aren’t they? Always calling up just as you’re sitting down for a meal or perhaps getting you whilst you’re doing stuff in the garage or garden.

It’s fine for the legit operations as you can go on a “don’t call” list but the legit outfits were always fine.

The non-legit places are just seriously annoying. Hence the arrival of a service to publicise the numbers that the annoying telemarketers use. AnnoyingCallers.com is only just beginning to scratch the surface of this problem but stage one has to be collecting the numbers and that’s what they’re doing right now. For stage two, I suspect you’d need a reasonably fancy phone to let you block the numbers before these guys get through but we gotta get those numbers first!

Appropriate gifts

August 22nd, 2008

I’m one of those people who try to get appropriate gifts for people and ones that they’d not think of getting for themselves. It doesn’t really seem like a gift to me if it’s something that you’d have bought for yourself anyway.

So something like Tahitian pearls are particularly interesting. Unlike gold or diamonds, pearls are one of those things that don’t really have a commercial value as such or at least not one that’s not jewelry related at any rate. They’re also something that you’d not really expect to be wearing all the time and are that little bit more unusual for that thus fitting the bill of being a relatively unique gift which is itself unusual these days.

Ever dreamed of owning a Cadillac…?

August 20th, 2008

Many people drive the car they have to drive. Many people drive the car they can only afford to drive. How many people wait a long time before they finally get to drive around in the car they have always dreamed of owning…? the answer is MOST people. But when you finally DO get around to buying that car of your dreams take into consideration where you will actually be buying it from…

Many people never get to sit in a Cadillac let alone own one. My first encounter with one of these beautiful vehicles was as a child - my friend’s father owned one - and he collected us from school one day in it. It certainly was in a whole different league to the old ford falcon squire station wagon my Dad owned. This was pure class, comfort and style. I never forgot that ride in that car.

When you are ready to purchase your dream Cadillac make sure you entrust your new investment to those at New Cadillacs Harrisburg PA where their team specialise in this particular make of car. They know what Cadillac drivers want and need and will assist you every step of the way with getting you into that car of our dreams.
