More variants on the “perfect” diet pill

July 26th, 2008

The diet pill industry is growing fast if the sheer number of websites promoting them is anything to go by.

However, the wide range of products available these days means that it’s no long as simple as just lifting a box of diet pills off the shelf. Not only are they targetting different reasons for the weight gain (eg sedentary lifestyle, too much eating, etc.) but they combine various drugs to attack a range of reasons at once these days.

For example, Fentraphen is a concoction that combines Synephrine to boost your metabolism (thus combating the effects of a sedentary lifestyle), Phenethylamine a mood enhancer and Chromium Picolinate to regulate insulin levels and thus burn fat. Price-wise, it’s around the mid-range for these drugs.
