Organizational development or organizational leadership: what’s in a name?
Although, in principle, these days people look at one’s degree transcript more than the degree title in reality the degree title can mean a difference to that first impression. Moreover, that “leadership” tag brings with it a different range of courses and quite a different emphasis to the course generally.
If you’re ultimately shooting for the very top posts it’s the leadership qualification that you should be aiming for. This brings with it a whole range of courses to develop your skills in forging alliances, negotiating at the highest level, developing a vision for your organization and so on.
Not only that but, as always with these courses, you’ll build a network of like minded individuals who may well be of considerable use to you in your future endeavours. Don’t underestimate the value of that alone!
