Where’s the ideal spot for a motorhome vacation?
If you look at the brochures from the RV rental companies you could easily come to the conclusion that motorhomes are exclusively driven on roads in the wild west with nothing but deserted barren lands stretching into the distance.
However, in reality you can and do see them in all kinds of environment in most parts of the world. Some really crazy people have even been seen attempting parallel parking right in the centre of busy cities… the best ever example of parking I’ve seen was someone in a 40 footer parking right beside the water tower in the centre of Chicago.
However, to my mind the best bet for newcomers to the RV scene are found up and down the east coast of America. For an example, NC RV parks are typically very well shaded in comparison to the relatively open sites you find in the west which makes it much more pleasant in the evenings although do be careful when you’re parking in a spot surrounded by trees.
Aside from the pleasant environment that an RV park NC offers, the region itself is a better proposition if you’re new to exploring the world in an RV or if your vacation time is short. In a typical far west trip you’ll generally find that a lot of driving is required as the attractions are quite far apart. Look east and you’ll find that the attractions are more densely packed with a whole lot less driving required to take in all the attractions in the region. This makes establishing an RV park North Carolina base for your vacation is much simpler too when by contrast it’s often not possible to establish a single base in the west unless you severely limit the things that you explore in your vacation.
