Why buy a PC when you can build one?

May 8th, 2008

Because you haven’t a clue how to go about it is the usual answer to that one but it doesn’t need to be.

For one thing, high performance gaming computers are both cheaper to build yourself and since the kits explain all the steps, you will be able to upgrade your PC later which ordinarily would mean an expensive trip to the repair shop.

Whilst it’s usually not worthwhile doing this for low end PCs, it’s very much worth your while if you’re looking for a high performance machine. In addition to the savings, you’ll know what quality of components are going into your PC and will be able to upgrade individual items as and when you need to in the future which saves even more, of course.
