OK, so we’re not all going to buy a new one, but a used car is certainly an option though I’m not too sure Wendy would run with the idea of me buying a Lambourghini Gallardo at £85,000 even if it is a used car! Still, I think it’s safe to say that she’ll let me get away with downloading a few supercar wallpapers for the computer.
What’s not so easy to get is a wallpaper at a decent resolution for todays computer screens though. Where you will find one for most of the flashier cars is at Vcars download section. For most of us, it’s the closest that we’ll get to actually owning the likes of a Ferrari.
Motoring news is always fascinating. Who’d have thought that the mini would have still been going strong after all this time? So many seemingly superior cars have long since fallen by the wayside over the course of its lifetime.
For that matter, it’s been interesting to watch the gradual rise of Skoda from the total scrap end of the car marques into the semi-respectable league over the last 20 odd years. Perhaps given another 20 years we’ll be reading about their release of a luxury car and not be laughing!

One of the advantages for consumers of the seemingly never-ending expansion of the European Union is that open season for house hunting is declared on each and every country joining the fold.
Just six months ago, you’d have had major problems buying a property in Romania but now that it’s in the European Union, they need to treat all European citizens as they do they the locals. This makes the process of buying considerably easier. For instance, they can no longer require you to buy in conjunction with a local, or apply the various types of restrictions on foreign buyers that these countries used to do.
Anyway, as a result of this there’s something of an upsurge in companies listing property in these countries among others in particular as the prices are amongst the lowest there. The bargains to be had are considerable: properties are available from 10,000‚€. That’s property too, not just a building plot.
Do research the countries though. Much as you might think it’s a wonderful adventure to buy a property in Croatia, remember that in the more exotic countries, the support infrastructure just doesn’t exist and simple things that a drinkable water supply can’t be taken for granted.

Much as we sometimes feel that we’re nailed to the spot over here in fact we’re planning several trips in the coming months so are starting to hunt out locations and where we might stay.
More than likely we’ll be looking for a hotel near Barcelona airport as it’s more than likely where we’ll be flying from and the HLG Sant is currently the front runner on that score as we’ll be able to park the car there for a sensible amount of money plus get the kids in free.
But, where to go? Well, first off we might be off to London for a few days at the start of September though ’tis early days for that one and we’re not even sure if we’re going so it’s a little early to get terribly specific about locations for that one.
Also on the cards is Rome but that’ll not be until mid-October at the earliest. Having said that, I quite like the idea of a B&B right beside the Vatican and the price ain’t too bad either considering the location.
